“The highest ideal of cure is the rapid, gentle and permanent restoration of health; that is, the lifting and annihilation of the disease in its entire extent in the shortest, most reliable, and least disadvantageous way, according to clearly realizable principles.”

-Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy

What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a medical art and science which uses minute doses of natural medicines to stimulate the body’s healing abilities.

Homeopathy is based on the ‘Law of Similars’ or ‘Like Cures Like’ where substances which cause illnesses or symptoms can in very small doses cure the same problem by stimulating the organism to rebalance itself. The remedies or medicines used are quite safe: they are known to be non-toxic, non-allergenic and free of side effects. They are prepared from herbal, mineral and animal substances by homeopathic pharmacies under strict guidelines.

Our interview process is in depth and delves deeply into all aspects of a patient. Often people feel healing from this process alone. The remedy is then selected after analysis to match the qualities of a remedy to the individual symptoms and nature of a patient on their physical, mental and emotional levels.

Our Mission

Kent County is one of the most severely underserved communities in Tennessee. To combat this adversity, Project Sprout seeks to nourish our neighbors at the most fundamental level with healthy food options and a strong support network. All members get a portion of each harvest and surpluses are donated to low-income families whose work schedules prevent them from volunteering.

With ten gardens and counting, Project Sprout has seen a significant improvement in mental and physical health for all participating community members. Other than lowering obesity, blood pressure, and depression rates, the crime rate has also fallen. Our children are doing better in school, reporting higher grades and aspirations, and better job prospects.

Get Involved

If you live near one of our gardens, get involved to receive portions of each harvest. We accept volunteers regardless of skill level. There is a rotation in roles, but we’ll teach you all the skills you need to know. Teenagers 14 years and older can earn community service credits for school in addition to getting produce for their families. Donations are also vital to our growth, as we use them for seed, fertilizer, tools, and outreach.
